“Our IT systems had served us well for many years, providing us with an excellent return on our original investment, and very little interruption to our business.
Although reliable, our hardware was very long past warranty support and the software releases we were running were no longer being maintained by the manufacturers. We were not experiencing day-to-day problems but I was well aware of an increasing risk to our business if we experienced a hardware failure and a restriction on how, or even if we could take advantage of the latest software facilities.
Our internal technical team were quite correctly focusing on our customers’ needs and it was impossible to justify giving the resource necessary to complete an upgrade ourselves.
